Loremaster's branching storylines change according to player choices, allowing participants to shape the world around them. The classless hero creation system enables players to build unique characters with varying weapon proficiencies, skills, and magic abilities, with the option to change heroes or builds mid-campaign.

Pericle: Gathering Darkness boasts over 60 hours of gameplay, with each session taking as little as 1 hour to play. Players can choose to create more than one party and make different decisions to influence the story on each new playthrough. While the game is not solely about combat, when conflicts are inevitable, Loremaster will bring up the combat screen, allowing for quick and simple setup.
